KW V3 coilover settings

A set of KW's will be appearing on my doorstep on Friday. Anybody want to share their settings? I have searched the forums for this info, but it seems that everyone just runs the stock settings. Anyone willing to share their thoughts on ride quality at the stock settings, or any custom setting they have arrived at?

Thanks in advance!

Not to threadjack but I would like to add to your question-- is there an order to follow when making the adjustments? I've heard both ways on this.

I'm at the stock settings currently as well.

I run 55 front and 50 rear. So far it's been good. Better than stock ride and confident through the turns and most importantly - NO BOUNCE!

looks f'in bad ass! How do you you adjust the ride height on these? Can you do it with them installed or do you have to take the wheels off to get to it?

When you say 55 front and 50 rear, what are you referring to? I thought you just counted the clicks when setting them up?

what size wheels are those, and which wheels? Love the 5 spokes!

Thanks man. You count 55 and then 50 from open position I think. You will need the rims off and the car jacked up/hoisted.

These are my winter wheels - XO rims in 22s. Ya I'm loving the design too. Just hate how they don't come staggered or in a wide setup. I run a 10.5 square setup.

I feel you. I am running a square 20x10" set up. Love those XO wheels! was looking at those myself for summer, but not wide enough!

For those with air bags on the rear. I hear alot of folks with the H&R springs complain about bounce on the rear when set to low. Is this the same when running the KW V3s? I'm planing to get it pretty low but I'm little concerned that's just a trate with the rear leveling setup.

H & R only bounces if you adjust it too low. The beauty of the KW is you can slam it and still no bounce.

Is this largely due to the H&R setup using stock rear dampers?

I think it's mostly because of the lowering link/ air suspension combo. Non airbag rears use a spring and have no problems.

Which for me is a problem if I want to slam my 5. I have airbag rears so will still need the lowering link, hence my concerns over bouncy ride.

Can't slam it with h and r kit. Ride will be intolerable. The picture I posted is about as low as you can go.

Indeed, but how tolerable is it with airbag rear and KWs.. slammed? I'm thinking the excessive 'bounce' is largely to do with the OEM damper bottoming with H&R setup Vs fully matched damper setup of that with the KWs

Does you '6' have air bags on the rear then? I'm just trying to see if KWs slammed is not a problem mainly on airbag vehicles vs springs. One thing is common, H&R and KW use little links.. but I'm guessing the KW damper is what alleviates the rear from bouncing vs H&R with stock dampers.

No, the KW swaps out the entire rear set up for it's own damper and coiled springs, so no more airbags

Are you sure? All install pics i've seen with rear air bag still in place with change over of damper only!

Edit: added pics. Also check out the 3D Design coilovers from Japan for the X5/X6
