Installed Sprint Booster accelerator adapter on X5d

It's brilliant!
Gone is the lethargic, soggy, drop your foot half way down to get it moving - wondering when it will respond.

There are three settings with red being a bit too hyper and green feeling just right. If you've looked into it and wondered if it's worth the money ($300 as I recall), try it out, it absolutely transforms throttle response in D to be even sharper than DS mode. Quicker engine response also seems to send quicker messages to the transmission so it punches out of turns a lot more sprightly.

Thanks for the review! I've been on the fence on buying this for my X5D and my wife's clubman S.

Could have totally used this on our way up the mountains this weekend. There were a few really tight hair pin turns that has me wondering when the X5 was going to get moving again.....pedal down and it was numb for a few seconds.

Anyone know if tunes fix this?

Had mine for a couple of years!!
Awesome mod, made my 4.8i feel 1500lbs lighter with the improved pedal feel.

ABOUT TIME SOMEONE BOUGHT IT. I did a review months back and it's the BEST mod the X5 can get POINT BLANK. I leave mine In RED mode and tiptronic all day. Red mode can't handle regular D mode.
Congrats

You put it right. It's like it lost a whole lot of weight and wants to surge forward when you moderately roll on the gas

Also very noticable on the highway, when it used to feel like the engine was asleep and I could move my foot a little with almost no response from the engine, and had to give it the beans to accelerate and change lanes, now squeezing it at freeway speeds results in immediate surge.

Hasn't eliminated the that initial tip in lag as much as I'd like, but it is better and likely also more of a characteristic of the diesel engine.

Have you reset your "intelligent" throttle mapping recently?
I do mine every 2 weeks, and it makes a huge difference.

Enjoy!

Agreed. I also installed the sport pedals in addition to the Sprint Booster. Made a significant difference in throttle response.

I have the RaceChip Ultimate on my 09 X5d. I experience almost 0 lag and exceptional power boost throughout the RPM range. No Sprint Booster installed.

The difference between stock and chip is day and night.
