Rear window heating element

Now I know why I have a rear view camera. The rear window heating element is sooooo poor. If they weren't going to put a rear wiper( which I appreciate) why not at least make sure that it will defrost the window the same day. A bit like he rest of the demist I love the car but they did some clever thinking on my RRS with a bit more attention to detail in certain areas.

I'll be curious to see how the AC holds up on a 110 degree day too.

Silly thing is - I still will never give it up

Agreed. When I hit the button for the rear window to defrost, I say about 5 mins tops, the window is clear of Ice and snow. it basically just slides off after about 7 mins. Not sure why yours seems to be taking an extended amount of time to defrost...

Thanks guys - I will have them check it out for me. Maybe when I was changing the LED lights I disconnected or pulled something - who knows.

Hopefully it is not too serious of a problem. I know how you feel. For the amount of money we spend on these cars, we all expect everything to funtion properly. Let us know the end result after you have it serviced. Till then, take care and enjoy the new year.

Mine is instant

Car was a block of ice two days ago. Started it and the rear window was clear within 3 min. I do wish the heated seats worked that fast. My old m5 would cook your but within a minute or so.
