Whats up with the joystickish shift knobs? First the 5 series, now this one as well. I would have to see the finished product to make a decision.

wonder if the x5 will get the turbo motor..that would be nice decent hp and gas wouldnt be crazy

I think it is gorgeaous, a refresh of the (good looking) previous design.

I think that the third row electrically controlled two single seats will be offered as an option.

There is a rumour that the N53 engine will be offered.

I hope they introduce some of the sweet diesels from Europe here in NA.

I read somewhere that the new X5 will be the second vehicle to get the 335 motor (N54).

NOW that's what i'm talking about. I think the facelifted 5 series will get the N54 motor as well from what i read.

We actually saw it on the X5 first.

They really don't look that different, but have you seen the dumbass-ears on the current X5?

These are still huge, but they look alot more aggressive with the black.

How so?

With the possible exception of the headlights, there's nothing on there that resembles the X3. The hoods don't even open in the same places.

Meanwhile there are TONS of cues that come from the current X5. It's very evolved.

well i love this car. and black is a definite must for its new design.

though i must say im a bit worried for the feel of the shifter... makes me feel like if i touch it slightly, it will instantly change gears on me.....

i think you will see several other spy pics of the upcoming x5.
Including rear, front, side, and int.

you seee? so its not THAT ugly.

seems pretty accurate to me

if anyone notices none of these pics seem to show a 3rd row seat. if the new x5 were to have one, im sure its optional.
