I have an E46 M3, a tuned 135, and a tuned X1. I can't be all of those things can I?

I was generalizing people to their (one) car. So, I can make a new one based on the combination of cars you got ?

This was pretty funny, and I guess there might be a little accuracy in some of this observation from what I see on the roads and in this forum, lol.

Not really. You stated your generalizations are based on trolling all the forums on here, so your conclusions for 1er drivers that post on here are way off. So either you are drunk most of the time when you troll the 1er forum, or just plain ignorant.

I read the disclaimer and not offended in anyway with regard to your post, in fact I do find it kind of funny, just way off base on the 1ers. It should be more like nostalgic old geezers and brand whores who can't afford a 3-series.

True. Gonna be a wreck a day once they drop down in price a little more. The 1er likes to try to jump out and kill you. I love that.

OP Drives an F82. Are you surprised at the responses? The whole owner-base of the F82 can be generalized down to insecurity over model justification and overcompensation.

It sure is an adrenaline rush. I've had a few close calls.

Here's my $0.02 (no offence intended btw)
  • 1 series - If it is the 135i you have good taste in driving dynamics and prefer a RWD hatch to the rest of the market. If it is a base model you're an idiot because you could buy a much better car for the same money if you weren't so into the BMW badge.
  • 2 series - 235i means you enjoy driving but really want to buy the M4 you can't afford. The 228i means you tell people you drive a BMW "Sports Car".
  • 3 series - 335/40i shows you're not a bad person and likely have a small family but not a whole lot of imagination. 320/28i shows you leased it and don't miss any opportunity to pretend you "own" a BMW because you are such a poser. 335d says you like being unpretentious but are really that dude in the Dos Equis ads.
  • 4 series - You leased one with the M sport package and go around telling people you drive a "M". You've obviously deleted the badge, have had your roof wrapped to look like it is CF and are looking into getting a quad exhaust swap for your 4 pot. You are hung like a rodent.
  • 5 series - You really wanted a M3 and the wife really wanted a X5. You settled somewhere in the middle.
  • 6 series - If its a coupe you're on nitrates for chest pain and keep worrying about experiencing an unsafe drop in blood pressure. If it is a convertible you spend lot of time driving to Ashley Madison hookups, the botox place and the tanning salon.
  • 7 series - You're an idiot because you didn't buy a S class. You're a genius because you work for the cartel and didn't want something as flashy as an S class. You're a baller because your next Rap video is going to feature your donked out gold plated 7er.
  • x3/5 - Your family forced you to buy a SUV. You really wanted a BMW for purely badge related reasons and made the dull obvious choice.
  • x4/6 - You're someone whose lack of taste is legendary. You're stupid enough to believe you drive a coupe. Your significant other is stupid enough to believe you drive an SUV.
  • any Grand Turismo - This is the last bit of your former car loving existence that you can cling on to before you are forced to buy a minivan. You constantly look for tall buildings to jump off of.
  • i3 - You have posters of Elon Musk all over your house. You used to drive a Prius. You're waiting for an affordable Tesla.
  • i8 - You want to stand out from all the other celebrities by driving something that looks like a supercar but is as cool as a Tesla in your social circle. You do rails of cocaine for breakfast.
  • M3 - You managed to fool your significant other into thinking that 4 doors make it a family car.
  • M4 - You leased it and think that putting hideous aftermarket rims and a bolt on tune is a completely normal thing to do. You own every F&F movie and are a massive douchebag to everyone while safely behind the wheel or anonymously online.
  • M5 - You wanted a M3 but need the extra trunk space for the bodies you need to transport in your line of work.
  • M6 - If its a coupe you die a little each time somebody in a 911 turbo drives by because they paid less than you. If its a convertible you drive at 10 mph because you don't want to lose your hairpiece. If its a Gran Coupe you have amazing taste to go along with a real talent for medicare fraud.
  • M SUV - You work for the Russian mob. You're entire vocabulary consists of "Da" and "Nyet".

Hehe, for me, the X1 description is a little close to home! I am not new to BMW, but it wasn't in my radar for my replacement vehicle. The X1 just stood out for me.

Valencia Orange, 35i, CPO car. Affordable and very fun to drive.
