I have passport 9500ci with Laser Interceptor Shifters. I like the gps lockout feature and that you can mount it externally (have mine in front center grill, will post pics tonight).

get either V1 or escort , which one mostly depends on aesthetics (I'm sure this will start the "which is better" fanboy wars) both are top of the line.

I just had the Escort Qi45 radar detector and Blinder M27 x-treme laser jammer installed in my 2011 X6 50i. Here are a few pics:

In this pic, the jammers can be seen near the outside edges of the thin mesh strip below the grille. The Qi45 detector is sitting behind the thin grille just to the left of center.

In the second picture, you see where I placed the display module for the Qi45. In this location it's easy to see through the lower right hole in the steering wheel.

The third photo shows the location of the LED for the Blinder; it's behind the slats above the instrument cluster. I have the steering wheel positioned so that I can't see the green light.

I'm really liking this setup (and the car), although I haven't had a chance to test the laser jamming yet.

They're legal in most states. Radar jamming is illegal.

.
I'm curious how the performance on the detector is behind the mesh,
escort guys say mesh causes problems with it but then they say it's ok to put behind plastic bumper.
