Question about rubber tray mats

Hi Guys
I bought a set of rubber tray mats for my x6 and was wondering how to anchor them to the floor. The Trays have holes for the hooks to go into but there are no hooks in the floor of the car? There are however round velcro discs that are screwed into the floor for the carpeted mats not to slide.

Thanks

it fit perfectly so it won't slide. i don't like the driver side tray mat because it blocking the gas pedal. I need to get another mat for driver side.

You're suppose to take out the velcro disc(I think you turn it to get it off), and replace with those anchor screws(Screw in). I bought mine from BMW parts.

I forgot they come with hook. I think i install it and it don't fit perfectly. I think the hook does not align with hole on the mat. I think it look like black plastic triangle thingy, should be inside the box.

I was just thinking about getting the regular BMW All Weather Rubber Floor Mats.

Does anybody have those?

You are right the holes from the velcro one's don't fit the holes of the plastic mat, so you have to screw them into the floor factory mat to make them fit.

Thanks! So the mats come with the screw-in anchor hooks? I assume you are happy with them?

Yes to both questions. Definitely keeps the car cleaner and you don't have to worry about old dirty carpet rug smell.

Exactly. I am pretty shocked the car doesn't come with any floor mats (even carpet ones). I guess it doesn't matter too much though because I'd take them out and buy rubber ones anyway, but still ...

Thanks again
