Rim damage & repair
has anyone ever had rim repair done on your OE rims? I scraped 2 of mine badly, and drove around like that even though it crushed my soul.
I didn't want to buy new rims but also didn't know what else to do, so I searched online and found a shop in town that did rim repair. they had really good reviews and I ended up giving them the work and just thought I'd share how that went with you all here. Repair is a decent option as long as the damage isn't too bad! Last edited by predicate_logic; 07-31-2021 at 05:52 PM.. |

Looks great. I found a great place that does it for me too. I've only had it happen 3 times with my X5 since 2013 but the other cars in the household go there too! When you see how great they can look, there's no reason not to.

I had never done this before, and I didn't find any posts about E70 OE rim repairs, so I thought I should post how mine came out here. Here is a photo of when they had the rim stripped down to bare metal... Fascinating... |
