X5M brake retrofit on e70 x5 35d

Hey everyone,

Just picked up an e70 35d sport package and looking to retrofit the larger x5m brakes. I have done some research and wanted to confirm some things before I begin buying parts. The parts needed from what I read are:

- two front 4 piston calipers with carriers from e70 x5m
- two rear e70 x5m carriers
- reuse current e70 35d rear calipers
- two front f85 x5m front rotors 395x36mm
- two rear f85 x5m rear rotors 385x24mm
- two front e70 front brake dust shields
- two rear e70 rear brake dust shields
- e70 x5m stainless steel brake lines front and rear

Is everything here correct? Is there anything I am missing or any incorrect parts? From what I read this setup is a direct swap onto the e70 x5.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I did this to mine but I just grabbed the F15 m-sport retrofit kit which is the E70 M brakes, everything bolts right up, using stock brake lines too. Kit is 2500 dollars and comes In huge crate with everything you need. You might be able to Piece the parts together used slightly cheaper, I think it's worth it for all brand new. Link below and pic of them installed on my E70

Improvement?

How would you categorize the impact on braking performance of the kit?

I was leaning toward that kit, but I ended up getting e70 x5m brake calipers for a really good price, so I am going to end up piecing the kit. Also I prefer the look of the cross drilled rotors of the f85 over the standard discs.

Would you know if the above parts list would work on the retrofit?
