2007-2010 X5 4.8i Performance Mods???

Hello all,

I have been looking around, does anyone know any tuning options for the N62B48 engine?

I found some tuning options online, but they only make around 30 crank horsepower more for at lease $500.

There has been rumors that VF Engineering made a supercharger for the N62B48 engine, but I don't think it's on sale, or didn't get out of its development stage.

Any thoughts for performance mods to the engine?

There are tunes, but i wouldn’t expect much on a naturally aspirated engine. I had a 4.8i as well...

So basically a tune is about it.

There are supercharger kits but they are pricey and will turn your x5 into a garage queen.

If you want more then 30hp with a tune and bolt ons your better off trading for a turbocharged x5

Yeah, I agree. Buying a supercharger and spending so much money on an old car is not really worth it at this point. The G-Power supercharger itself costs as much as an used X5M (USA)!
