Thanks brother, I'm still contemplating if I should get a front lip or not...I kinda like the way it looks without a front lip

I may change my mind though

I wasn't going to get a lip either, but I felt like I needed something in front to balance the look of the carbon rear diffuser.... now I'm glad I have one.

I've always thought the front bumper on the X5M looked very aggressive as is...I'll most likely get the front lip to complete the look as well

Regarding the BBS Wheels, what kind of tires are you running and do you know the offsets? My 1 yr old daughter used the paperwork that had all the information on it as a coloring book today lol

Thanks, if your an ///M fan and have a family you will love the X5M...I searched over 6 months till I found the perfect color combination I was after...only downside to owning an X5M is once you start modding it...you just can't stop

I'm going to be installing the downpipes (catted) in my truck this week, excited to get some before and after videos...

Haha thanks, I've had the X5M for about 6 months now and I've lost track of how much $ I spent on mods so far...The mod bug has bit me hard I finally paid off my mortgage so there's no cure for this sickness in the near future lol

Congrats on the new DP's...good choice on getting them catted compared to catless, if I could do it all over again I would NOT choose catless! The gaseous odor has yet to grow on me or my wife

Another member jest has catted on his beast and imho they sound just as good as catless WITHOUT the horrible smell...looking forward to the videos

Thanks man, I have to agree, I would be doing some damage if I didn't have a mortgage payment!

And glad to hear your opinion on the downpipes... I'm looking forward to them.

Good looking X's! How would you describe the stock engine/exhaust note between the 50i and X5M? I've heard a few X5M's, though none up close unfortunately, and the S63 seems to sound very different? Being you own both, just curious about your perspective.

Thanks buddy, honestly my 50i had a deeper exhaust note before I modded the M...I actually did cold starts on both of them at the same time this past summer and after the initial 30-45 second kick down, the 50i sounded more like a V8. Driving between 2-3k rpm the 50i's exhaust note sounded meaner than the M but push the M past 3k rpm, the M's exhaust valves open up and you hear a much deeper note

I've owned the 50i for over a year now, I think I've seen maybe 2 other X5M's on the road compared to the thousands of regular E70's I see daily...kinda feels like ever since these trucks came down in price they're becoming as common as an E90 328

I am running Pirelli Scorpions.
22x10.5 40mm offset
22x11.5 35mm offset
I am also running H&R aluminum spacers that are .600 front and .750 rear so that the wheels are flush with the fenders.

I love the BBS SVs on my X5M and get complements all the time, however I am very fickle and have already ordered something awesomely different for the X5M!... if the new purchase blows me away, the X5d may inherit the SVs in the spring.

Interesting…thanks for the response. The last X5M I heard pass by was actually the new F85 (in Long Beach Blue ) and the exhaust note surprised me - not as deep/V8 sounding as I would have expected. I know those still have the S63 (slightly revised I believe) but being a new model, they could sound a bit different from the E70?

OEM or Vorsteiner?
I've been looking at the Pirelli P Zeros...fronts- 295/30ZR22 rears- 335/25ZR22 at $880 each! and the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico at $340 each which are a little bit more reasonable...I want to wait and see how the new wheels look before I pick up a set of spacers

I can't wait to see these new wheels you ordered You're making it very difficult for me to catch up to all your mods before Bimmerfest this summer...stop buying stuff lol

The rear Vorsteiner diffuser I picked up from a buddy who had 1 laying around still in the box, the front is OEM

The new F85 in LBB looks great up close, I actually saw 1 yesterday at the stealership but haven't herd the engine running besides youtube videos...I'm still not a fan of the new F85's front bumper

After reading tons of reviews and the limited brands of tires that actually fit the 22'' BBS SV's I just ordered the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico
