LED H11 bulbs for fog lights

Got this over the weekend, very promising, just got them installed on pre-LCI 2011 X6. installation was a breeze, just pop the plastic mesh grille.
No code and I don't believe they flicker either when off, will double check at night.

Will see how they hold up, there is an electric fan on the heat sink and the area behind the lamp is not protected being in front of the air intercooler so will see how the fans hold up.

but for $80 a pair I am willing to give them a shot, these bulbs are super bright and match my angel eyes color.

IMHO, the seller may misquote, Cree MT-G2 LED is 8.9mmx8.9mm substrate, these one ARE 6.7mmx6.7mm each, so my guess they are Cree MK-R; about 400-lumens per bulb less if that's the case but plenty bright with about 3600 lumens per bulb already(way more than 55W Halogen OEM bulbs that translate about 1000 lumens).

Nice, would love to see some pics of the beam at night and how you like them after a few weeks.

Well, the light output is no question, crazy bright to the point rivaling my H7 xenon low beam (no kidding).

here is the comparison, the dark picture is only my DTEC angel eyes, then the bright one is with these new LED fog bulbs.
Let me try to take a better picture at dusk from the front to compare them to the low beam xenon.

BUT, they flickers when the LCM module run break-bulb test at engine start up, Arghhhh.
So back to test bench, either I pay indy-shop to recode my LCM (not sure if that's possible cause I know you can code for having angel eyes as DRL for example but not disabling bulb test), or I'll build a simple capacitor circuit to filter out that spike signals.

Oh the flickers are when the fogs are off not when they are on, when on they produce stable white light, no problem.
