Talk to me people! Explain this to me!
700 miles before the next oil change, received a phone call from my the dealer where I purchased my car and a confirmation e-mail from the dealer where I've had the car serviced for an oil change appointment.

Seriously? Not sure if this is sarcastic (since its spelled out in the manual) but if not, the car sends its status constantly to bmw which then contacts you when things are due. They're connected through the same system as the SOS button by the front cabin lights. Bmw telematics I believe it's called.
