I would recommend some type of countermeasure,at least good radar detector.
if laws permit laser shifters.

Congrats, sweet ride; enjoy the M.
Nothing major with mine after 26k miles, just one clicking noise in control arm replaced under warranty. She sips oil .. I top off about a quart every 5k miles. Make sure you set your M button to Power, M HUD, and MDM ... Then press it and have a good time, haha! |

"Does anyone know how to do the launch control on this?" from :http://www.autoevolution.com/news/ho...deo-62130.html 'in order to activate Launch Control on any BMW fitted with this option, all you have to do is: come to a complete stop, press the brake pedal (and keep it that way), activate the Sport+ mode or press the DSC button once (it will partially deactivate the DSC, it won't turn it completely off), tilt the gearshift lever to the left into the manual/sport gate, press the gas pedal all the way down (beyond the kick-down step) and keep it there until the flag appears on the instrument cluster, release the brake pedal and hold on for dear life

Check your coolant level frequently. If you have the run flats, get rid of those noise-makers as quickly as possible!!
Depending on where you live, invest in new rims and snow tires. I have them and my 2010 X6M (with 114,000 miles) is an awesome snow muncher. Consider getting the factory extended warranty... Mine was well worth it. J |
