No these are the factory subs which came out after I replaced them with 8XI's. I have a pair of brand new 8Xi's with adapter rings $250 shipped. Let me know.

How do those sound with the factory amplifier? I assume it's a pretty decent improvement?

In my opinion it sounded great. I swapped out the subs in two vehicles, my 335i and my X5. I loved the difference, the bass was great and it sounded good to me. If you read through some of these forums, they state the earthquake subs do not produce midbass and that it is lost when you swap out the factory subs for earthquake. I didn't notice, but I am not you, so it's an owner choice. I have this new set because I picked up an X5M and was going to do this swap but I'm going to try something different. I have a JL Audio mono amp and thin mount 10" I'm going to have a small enclosure built to replace the storage compartment on the right hand side of my M.
