Well I have been lurking here for months and watching this thread closely. I appreciate all the information and videos which have helped me make my decision. I was on the fence between the Hamann setup and the Bob MG setup but I finally decided to go with the same config of SuperSprint downpipes, Akrapovic exhaust and ESS Tune. Should arrive in a couple weeks.

I currently have a stage 1 ECU tune through OE Tuning and pushing around 610 HP but suspect I will get some nice additional gains with this configuration.

I live in Ohio and use 93 Octane fuel but also have access to 100 Octane fuel at the Speedway down the street. I will probably experiment with some of the ESS fuel tunes to optimize performance.

I also have the Vorsteiner kit and rims on my vehicle which is Carbon Black. Will post some pics once all the work is completed. I suspect it will be several weeks.

Good stuff man, can't wait to hear your review!

Im jonesing waiting do to this as well, I thought getting my ADV's would help put this off till later, but I want more powa now!

Bob MG / anyone know how difficult the dp swap is?

The experienced dealer in town will not install catless, the other dealer will, but has less experienced tech's.

All Data (industry time/cost estimate software) says its an 8hr job, though I was able to do it ~2hrs (or 3hrs if you count the cool down & software reflash).

The most diffcult part was climbing on the engine to reach certain heatsheild bolts.

A cost effective downpipe solution will be out very shortly...

akra, i have miesterschaft trust me it sucks, they don't fit correctly and they lie about the shipping dates.

It sounds great. But I could not deal with that.
My truck is my driver/winter beater. I like being a backroads late at night and dropping the hammer. If my truck sounded like that, I would be getting pulled over left and right. I like the stealthiness of the factory system.
BUT, I really want the extra HP that a Catless DP/matched tune would provide. just not at the cost of the noise.

Has anyone used JUST the catless DP and the stock exhaust? How does it sound? if the sound is similar to stock, maybe that would be an option?

Bro I did the catless DPs first with ESS tune. Fucking noisy. In fact it sounded terrible!! Plus the turbos whistle without the Catts.

The Akra rear section sorted the sound out. Akra is always conservative on noise, just changes the tone. Didn't make it louder, improved the sound.

I must admit, coming from an ESS SC E92 with Akra catless Evo system, the X6M sounds like shit. I feel that I have improved it to the best of my ability. My wife hates it, so it must sound cool

Duno bout eisenmann or akra but I got the miesterchaft gtc electric valve for my x6m and it was not worth the money I paid .it sounds bad and engine fault signals light up every now and then and it took them about two months to ship it. I would suggest the hamann exhaust i heard it in hamann show room in Dubai it sounded crazy

Bob Mg......Does going catless add resonance inside? Ive spoken to several local tuners and they all say going catless adds lots of power and lots of unwanted interior drone. You're one of the few people who can speak from experience about this vehicle........
