It’s been a trend in ghettos in LA since covid when there was nothing else to do.
They race for $ and they organize rides downtown doing burnouts over city road markings intentionally. Then they advertise their activities here where they give each other accolades for said behavior. https://www.instagram.com/rowdyminib...Q5ZDc2ODk2ZA== It’s dangerous and criminal and the police do crack down when they can. |

My question for LEO’s what do you do when you are off the clock and see someone driving erratically or worse?
How often do you see people who are engaging in criminal activity of some kind but choose to ignore it because you’re too busy, off the clock, not interested in getting involved? |

This! I’m not getting involved unless it’s a preservation of life situation (…and even that intervention will depend on what’s actually occurring). Unfortunately, it’s all about career survival now and it’s not worth it to be a hero. It’s not worth my job, pension, etc. to help in this anti-LEO/odd political climate. People get fired for intervening.

Mobs of violent people are the reason a 6 round revolver doesn't cut it as a self defense tool.

What's with all the flash-mob robberies of late? Saw a bakery where someone backed a white vehicle thru the front glass, then the mob poured in like a swarm of locusts. Was the vehicle stolen for such an event? Guessing the RO had someone knock on the front door.

Personal defense flame throwers are not a good choice for self-defense, as they are very dangerous and can cause serious harm to both the user and others¹. They are also illegal in some places, such as Maryland and California². In Canada, where you are located, there are no specific laws regarding flame throwers, but they may fall under the category of prohibited weapons, which are illegal to possess, carry, or use without authorization³. Therefore, I would advise you to avoid using a flame thrower for self-defense and look for safer and legal alternatives, such as pepper spray, tasers, or personal alarms¹. If you are interested in learning more about flame throwers, their history, types, and uses, you can check out these links: - [Best Flamethrowers You Can Actually Buy In 2023](^4^) - [Regulation of flamethrowers in the United States](^3^) - [Can you use a flamethrower for self-defense?](^1^) Source: Conversation with Bing, 1/3/2024 (1) Authorizations to Carry Restricted Firearms and Certain Handguns .... https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/...fulltext.html. After reading it, I’m not convinced it gave me an appropriate answer. Back to the drawing board. Stupid “AI”

Hi, new to this thread. Just thought I'd share a funny story.
I was on my way to Las Vegas from LA - it was weekday night and no one was on the road. Must have been midnight or so. I'm in my Audi R8 V10 with the top down (It's probably 50 degrees out) and I'm wearing a hoodie tied tight cause it was cold but I was enjoying myself. I pull off the exit to fuel up and the gas station I pull into has 4-5 CHP officers chilling by their cars and chatting/drinking coffee. I nodded and smiled as I went in to get some snacks and take a leak. They look at me like, "Who is this knucklehead?" I come out the door and the convo goes like this: CHP: Hey, what car is faster? Yours or a Corvette? Me: Really depends, which Corvette? Straight line or track times? I race cars at tracks like Willow Springs and Laguna Seca so I'm pretty fast. But I don't drive like that on the highways cause I'm responsible, I respect you guys and I'm a CHP 11-99 member/donator. CHP: Yeah, well, we are the only cops around for the next 60 miles so go have a good time. We all smiled at each other and I gave them some wide open throttle V10 as I pulled out and waved goodbye. |

You could also just bring Jerry Miculek along to the fight:
. He's hardly got any snow. If it's cold enough, he may well have just traded it in for ice. Having used a 20K BTU unit on ice, I can share that it was a fool's errand.

I've joked with my wife, who grew up a farm girl, that we need an irrigation ditch flamer to melt the ice we get in the winter on the south side of our neighborhood streets!

What's your take on the SB2 ruling, I personally think it sucks. I'm just waiting for my CCW permit pickup but SB2 put a damper on it.
