3.0 vs 4.8 gas mileage.

I currently have a 2009 x5 3.0 and am getting about 18 mpg average for mostly city driving. I am looking at a 4.8 and was curious to see what other people are getting with the v8. This is my wife\'s car and she doesn\'t drive it that hard. This upgrade is more for me plus I think the car would be so much better with the v8. Any input would be great.

15.8 according to the computer. Doesn't matter if it is city or highway to me it doesn't change much.

LOL..

And that's in the M (550hp+)... A far cry from the OP's original question on the 235hp and 350hp X5 3.0 and 4.8...

Not that the Mileage in my Modded 35i is any better:
Average 15mpg city
Average 20mpg H-Way
