Thumbs down Water in the fuel tank

Hi guys
Will appreciate your help: when fuelling at gas station some water accidentally went in. Drove off and had engine failure/ reduced power message. Obviously drained the staff out if the tank. Question: do I need to replace the fuel pump(HPFP) located in the tank? The matter is that both actual pump and filter come in one single part, so to replace the filter I will have to replace the whole unit. The cost of s/p without labour is ~300$. Is it a must? Has anyone had the same?
Please share your views!
Thanks!!!
