Why not? It's what's in and easier to keep clean. I too am looking for black or dark grey wheels for my Carbon Black X6M.

I'm not a fan of black wheels 90% of the time, but every once in a while it works. Black wheels used to be in, now it's old hat and just like every other wheel on the market. My friend has black wheels on his R8. Looks dirty all the time, even when supposedly clean. Awful.

I think it depends on the color and trim of the car too. My ZR1 is yellow with CF trim and the black wheels look 10 times better than the stock chrome ones did and are much easier to keep clean.

Agree with you 100% there: on a yellow (or red) car, black wheels definitely tend to look nice.

I have a yellow car too and think black wheels make it look like a bumble bee.

haha.

Can't wait for the black wheel fad to end. It's lame. Black wheels look awesome on lifted trucks. For just about everything else, there is almost always a better option.

IMO, of course.

no. I don't mind polished aluminum though, depending on the color of the vehicle. Polished aluminum looks great on blacks and blues.

Most of my wheels and my wife's wheels are either painted or powdercoated a custom color.

Sweet HREs!
I'm not usually a fan of black wheels either, but it definitely works on this one.
