Winter Tires

Hi All
I live in snow/ski country and I am looking for recommends re winter weather tires for my 2011 X5? Plenty of snow round here!

If you have the optional spare there are many good choices. If not and feel like you need to stick with run flats there are few.

I am going with the Michelin Latitude Alpin this winter. Mainly cause I generally stick with Michelin and second cause I don't have a spare.

Bridgestone Blizzaks are a good choice for run flats. I have also used Dunlop Grandtreks with good results. Of the two I thought the Blizzaks performed a bit better in snow, but were a bit noicier on dry pavement.

I ride on Contis ExtremeContact DWS all year round. I've been in deep snow and icy roads with them, highly recommend them if you're looking for some solid all-around tires. They're very quiet and great on wet roads too.
