20" run flat tires on X6

Hi All,

I am new to this forum.....I recently purchased a new X6 5.0 and was reading about run flat tires..There are different opinion on whether it is possible or not to path them in case of a puncture.

BMW offers a package for $1500 which includes free tire exchange in case of a flat..should I get it?
Also, do you guys know on pricing for those tires 275/35 front and 315/30 rear?..I saw more than $2K for the set...any feedback will be appreciated..

I replaced all my tires (20" RF) at 18k (I drive hard) cost about $2k. Someone here has the tire protection package and just had to use it and was going to report back on how the reimbursement went.

if you frequent not so popular parts of town with potholes, nails etc get the insurance....will be worth it!
