Backup Camera Question???

I have a 2009 X6 and the quality of the camera sucks. Can i install the camera from a 2011 X6 ....would that improve the pic quality ? has anyone done this???

The issue is with the screen resolution. The 2010+ vehicles have the new iDrive and thus the better resolution.
