Looks like a great deal. Just make sure you hit up a dealership about the N63 Customer Satisfaction Recall. It's over 38 hours of work with the possibility of a lot of parts getting checked and/or replaced.

It is over 38 hours of work if the timing chains get replaced; if not, it is well under 38 hours of work. Most of the time, no timing chains are required.

I talked to my dealer about this... they said the techs are getting so good at it now... They can do everything on the recall but the chains in about 5-6 hours.

Gawd, that seems like a steal

Granted the mileage is really high/no warranty, but still condition looks good. Alpine White Sport with 336's, Cold Weather, etc… Enjoy man. Price seems good….perhaps you're purchasing savings will be made up in maintenance given the mileage?

I'd just drive and enjoy for now…

Very high miles and no warranty, but hopefully the cheap purchase price will offset the upcoming repairs.

It's a good deal if you think it's a good deal mate!

Considering I just got an 11, Diesel, no navigation, 60k miles for $29k, I'd say that's a great price. Almost sounds too good to be true, though.

You can get a X5d with no Navi?

Absolutely. You still have a screen, but it's smaller:

I have to say, I've never seen such a setup on a X5...other BMWs they just bypass a screen altogether.

And for a X5D, I thought navi was pre-packaged as a standard feature?

Very nice, beautiful car!

As others have mentioned, see what you can get covered under warranty. Might not hurt to stop by a BMW dealer and see what's been done to it.

Enjoy!

great deal & options, do put $$ aside for repairs or buy extended warranty ... you'd need it

Yeah, of all the diesels I was eyeing, this was the only one lacking Nav. It has the HiFi sound and a 6.5" screen along with the updated iDrive controller (so my controller has a Nav button that does nothing). I have a phone if I really need nav, which I rarely do, so I'm ok with it. The one thing I'm really missing, however, is the rear view camera.

If you really want to be wow'ed, look @ European X5's. Semi-manual seats, no climate, no xenons...
