Nervous

I just received word that my new X6 50i is being transported to Pittsburgh. It will be here tomorrow. I won't pick it up until next week since I am traveling out of town for a few days. I ordered it May 23. I have been pretty excited for this day to come. Now that it is here, I am getting real nervous. The car that I am trading in (2002 caddy STS) is basically falling apart and I can't wait to get rid of it. If I accidently bump into something with the caddy, I really don't care. I feel real nervous about the new car and what if I wreck it or someone does something to the car. Any one else feel the same way?

Hey Burgh -- you worry too much. It's just a bunch of metal and plastic and leather. Enjoy the damn thing! 99% of other people on the road will envy you. (As do I. Won't get mine until next spring.)

That is why you have insurance! Good luck on the caddy trade-in. That one is going to hurt. How much are you getting for it? 5-10k?

"what if I wreck it" - insurance

"someone does something to the car" - pound them into the ground.

1st you were "guilty", now you're "nervous".

Chill, and enjoy. Life is short. I'm sure you work hard. Now play hard, indulge yourself a little bit & let yourself enjoy it....

You'll get over it within a few months, guaranteed.
