BMW Performance Carbon Fiber Front Splitter

I decided to bite the bullet with a front lip and based on the limited options available, decided to go with the OEM option. Many reviews state that the fit of replica and other vendor products don't have optimal fit or finish, and now that I've seen the product in person I can agree is worth the cost. PARTS@STBMW hooked me up with a price that is unmatched and I couldn't be happier with their service.

In calling around several dealerships I found out that there were only 8 lips in the inventory system (worldwide), and mine had to be brought in from Germany which made the wait about two weeks and change. Just FYI.

Also the OEM lip doesn't come with installation instructions, so I have included the pdf that I received since I couldn't find a copy anywhere on my own. The install is simple and involves the removal and replacement of 6 bumper cover screws, 2 of which involves the installation of a small support bracket to reinforce the bumper cover. Took me an hour in total.

Highlights:
- Easy install
- Perfect fit
- 2x2 weave is more aesthetic for the large front end compared to a 1x1 weave
- 2x2 weave is consistent all the way across
- Minimalistic but completes the front end without the bulky look of other lip products

Thanks! I'm stumped that BMW doesn't offer a diffuser to complement the front. The rear needs one badly.

It comes with all the hardware for installation. If you decide not to go with betalink liquid adhesive, you can also do the 3M automotive double sided tape which is what I used. A drill helps a lot with the screws and bolts.

Thanks! It's a 2/10 on the scale of difficulty, 1/10 if you do this stuff regularly. I did it on my own but a second set of hands helps with alignment if you're using double sided tape for reinforcement under the bumper.

I like the silver/gunmetal wheels with space grey exterior. Completely black wheels aren't my thing although I would've preferred if there were a 21" OEM option with a finish similar to the two-toned finish of the black 437M wheels. 599Ms come to mind.

STBMW parts were doing a promo last month that I'm not sure is still running. PM them directly for pricing, they're very responsive.

to be honest I'm not totally sure which type of carbon that is but it matches with front spoiler well.

The two tone look would look pretty sick as well. I took the all black route with my SG. I think it just tidy's up the exterior of the truck
