New X5M member

Hey guys,

A new member here from Europe, the Netherlands. Since october 2014 the proud owner of a 2010 X5M, bought in Germany.
Color is Monte Carlo Blau metallic, black leather interior. And a M-Drivers Package added to it

Pictures will follow as soon as I know how to add them.

Are there any other dutch X5M-owners on this forum ? Have seen a lot of interesting item sofar, so I'm addicted

Greatings,

Paul

Ik ben een Nederlander ... woon in Pennsylvania. Geen X5M, maar een X5 50i (V8 twin turbo). Stuur maar eens een PM.

Perhaps you and I should trade places altogether, because, except for the Cubs this last season, I find MLB a snoozer. I spend my early weekend mornings watching the Premier League. Go Spurs!!!

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome 👍🏻
I don't know about the rails but as far I can see its a normal feture form Europe. I have some extra struts so I can put on a skibox.
The extra modifications I'm not sure I want them. The callipers are red, angel eyes are led, have a electric towbar and themost important one is the M drivers package, right from the factory, so topspeed is + 280km/h. This blue animal eats porsche, mercedes and audi for breakfast. Have a winterset rims and tires

Hello Marblesyrup, at first i was a little surprised about your reaction about the rails. Thought: what the F.... Does he/she means ? What's the dicference, rails are rails so ..???
After i saw some X5m from your side of the ocean i saw what you mean. Bottom line: i'm glad i live here on this side near BMW's place of birth and we have normal rails and not the strange ones you have overthere 😝 The look like some rain guiding things

I know, but they have grown on me now! I just put my ski rack on and it seems to be holding up fine.

Enjoy your new car, the color is awesome.

Something to keep in mind when changing

Hey guys,

Today i changed the OEM grille for a all black, aftermarket one.
I'm very happy with it !

I want to warn u about somithing i noticed while changing. It's about the air duct behind the grille itselve.
Notice that the OEM-one has a extra longer rubber lip ( or something) on it, a piece that misses the aftermarket one.

This extra rubber-lip makes a better connection with the grille and the air intake.
So i had to change this piece as well (simple)

[IMG][/IMG]

I'll post an other picture in a minute.

Greatings Blackbird535

airduct 2 X5M

picture number 2 from the extra duct behind the grille.

[IMG][/IMG]

The one with the finger is OEM. Finger is on the extra duct. The other one, the small one was on the aftermarket grille.
