Is the X5 M-Sport Wheel Thicker?

Is the X5 M-Sport steering wheel thicker than the Sport Activity Package wheel?

I'm coming out on an m3, and the sportvwheel is a POS compared to the M wheel. I have the nappa leather and the sport wheel has the pebbly leather that is a total mis match . I already told my dealer to get me an M wheel.
