Lowering X5d - Eibach or H&R
Just purchased a X5d and while waiting for it to arrive I've been looking at getting a few mods. While searching around I'm pretty sure I want to do a conservative drop and so I've been looking at both the Eibach and H&R 1.2"/1.0" lowering springs.
I'm wondering what your guys' experience has been with both, ride quality wise, and whether or not one is any better than the other. Thanks |

If you google lowered X5, the first xoutpost link shows a guy lowering his with H&R springs with lots of pictures. The other threads about lowering an X5, I've only seen them talk about H&R springs. I want to do this as well, but have been hesitant.

Yeah I've seen plenty of H&R reviews but little on Eibachs let alone someone comparing the two which is what I was looking for. Based on limited research it seems Eibach is the way to go for my application but of course I was looking for more information before making a final decision.

hi I just lower my X5 2009 with H&R , like any car that you lower the ride will change some, just be aweare of that <make sure you get the vehicle back to the alignment shop back after 500 to 700 miles for a checkup , because the springs will settle a bit, my X 5 went down to 1/34' on the front and I have the back set to 11/2''
hope this helps |

I ended up getting the Eibachs so as soon as I get them installed I'll be sure to share my experience. |
