Good summary.. I didnt know about the exhaust manifold and turbos being different. but Ya I read the heads are 32 valves. So I thought they were different. Especially since the gas mileage is so much lower, it would have to have a way to feed it more fuel. Plus, generally, the faster you want to go, the more fuel you gotta burn. Too bad it doesn't have the active cylinder management system that GM has... where it shuts down some cylinders on the highway for better fuel economy. I think it only gets 12mpg in town.

My only other question is why do some 50i's have //M on the steering wheel and the door sill but not the rear hatch, and not 550hp ?

You will find 35i's with the ///M badging as well if the vehicle has the M Sport package - steering wheel, door sill, wheels, and aluminum dead pedal. M Sport is all cosmetic, no power upgrades. On the F15 generation you can get M Sport on the 35d as well.
