Owned for two months and...

I enjoy the x5d for the following reasons:
- passing power on the highway is impressive
- diesel costs quite a bit less than premium and I'm getting 23mpg!
- i thought the sound of the engine was going to annoy me... It doesn't, I love it
- the 4 door comfort access is great, one thing I hate about the 3er comfort access is that it doesn't work on the rear doors but on the x5 all of the doors work
- the 3rd row is better than presented on this forum. Very happy with the utility of the 3rd row for our children. Definitely not "useless"!
- the thing is planted in the corners and the breaks are solid
- idrive is great. The navi and iPod interface is so much better than others I've played with
- the sparkling bronze metallic is a great color as is the tobacco interior.
- the backup camera is very well done

Cheers!

Wait until more tankers deliver diesel to Europe where the market pays premium for it.

All I know is I will take US diesel prices for what they are right now...I'm in Europe and it would cost over $150 a tank here, easily.

Exactly! Can't wait to be back in the states and fill up at those prices. Even 3.69 is a steal.
