X5M Side Markers Wrapped

Hi all,

I made an attempt at wrapping the chrome sidemarkers in gloss black. It was a little tedious but is came out well. I snapped these last night when i finished, ill post more pics in better lighting tonight. Once again this shows we can save $250 with minor time and effort, silly M///tax.

Nice job.

I plastic dipped them and it is holding up better than expected, including the Chicago winters. Same for the kidney grille! I agree, no M tax this way......

The plastic pieces separate from the light. No reason these should be more than $50 for a set of plastic material. $250 is absolutely outrageous. A shop would likely charge no more than $50 to do this perfectly.

OOOH! OOOH! (My horshack impression hahaha!)
That is too cool. I want to do that!
Please post pictures of the water solution parts!

Looks great, StatenEye...
I feel extremely lucky, I bought my IND painted grills and side markers (and also BBS wheels/spacers) from a member here who was turning in his leased X5m and he gave me a smoking deal. The pieces were only on his truck for about 1500 miles and were in mint condition... so I was able to avoid the ///M tax!

The down pipes on the other hand are another story... Why are they so stupid expensive?

Wiggled them out with force. Was not comfortable. There's no good tutorial out there. I'll try to make a video

To the OP, looks pretty good! I've considered going with a brushed aluminum wrap to match my wheels and interior trim, but still on the fence...
