Guys,
Is there any website to find out by the VIN number if any work has been done?

I currently looking to buy a 2011 X5 50i Mpack.

Call your dealer with the VIN.....easy as pie

Dealer told me today that there is another recall that will be coming up within next few months for X5

Dam it, another recall. I haven't buy it yet and there is still recalls coming in. I really like the 50i and those are the years I can afford, but now i am indecisive.
At lease if there is a recall for most parts of the car, any break down can be blame by the recall and get it for free.

I'd still get one. With recalls, you get much better service and extra goodies.

Recall might be the high pressure fuel pump. I think the 5 series has it now so might trickle down to other similar cars.

I am on the same boat. Though I am looking at the X5M, they have a variant of the those engines but not part of the CCP "voluntary" recall.

I sure hope it's the HPFP as I just had those replaced. Don't want to go back to the dealer again for another recall

And really, the HPFP issue deserves some clarity. A few of us have had them replaced, but other's are encountering dumbfounded looks/responses from their dealers. It seems not everyone is aware of it.

I know AMGs has similar issues with their fuel sending units with MANY owners replaced it till few owners sued MB to get money back for other owners.

Hold on to your receipts as it will help the refund process more clear for owners and dealers!
