Eibach lowering springs pictures/review

so i took the plunge and decided to install the eibachs' since very few people are using them and most choose to go with the h&r springs. From most reviews i have read on the forum, x5's with rear leveing and any form of lowering ride worse than x5's without self leveling.

i have a 35d without self leveling, therefore i have 4 springs. i installed these on friday and have driven about 50km on them so far. the first reaction i got when i drove the car....is that it felt the exact same! there is VERY little difference from stock ride to the eibach drop springs. the most difference is felt in corners and the car feels to be a little more planted. but for the most part, its the same. the rear is slowly settling and the front has only come down 1/8" since installation. currently the front GTF is 30.5" and the rear is 30.875" GTF. Eibach advertises these as a 1.2/1.0" drop and mine has come down an even 1.3" all around. Very pleased and satisfied with these so far. i will test fit the 22" wheels again once the weather improves and take some photos, as well as the aerokit. i think all these mods combined will result in a sporty/oem looking X5.

Nice drop and great pictures! I am wondering if they have a set of eibach springs for the X5m. According to tire rack they are selling the pro kits for the X5m but on the eibach site they aren't even listed.

My eibach kit had x5m listed on the paper. I'll take a photo and post it up later.

Do all x5m's have rear leveling?

Looking sharp, can't wait to see pics once you get your other wheels on. Btw ever thought of removing the side badging? Would give it a cleaner look. I only mention it because of how clean you modded your m.

I agree. I will be removing it and replacing the rear x5 badge with a gloss black one. Thanks

Can you PM the source for the 22" performance wheels and the springs?

For the wheels, visit wheeltech.com or search their name on ebay. Springs are from tirerack

I installed same springs last year. Same impressions after install.
Did not want harsh ride from H&R either.

Will adding lowering springs mess with your warranty? would you not bring your car to the dealer before changing back to original OEM springs? and quality of these springs, are they as good as H&R?
thanks

The only warranty that it MIGHT void is anything suspension related that the springs may have messed up. Eibach makes F1 springs and other high quality applications.

I have the same vehicle only with H&R springs and the ride is very tight, you have me thinking about those other springs now.

What size wheel spacers are you using?

Looking good!
