Hello brothers and sisters, does anyone know can i actually install x6m body kit into x6 35i? including front and rear bumpers, side skirts and 'M' Fender? Plug and play? From what i know, E90 'M' bumper will not fit into 'Non-M'
I had a minor accident last few days, and i found someone is selling his whole x6m bodykit after he convert into hamann tycoon. -================================================== ==================- Done~! X6m front bumper and side skirt are basically plug and play. Just have to change few small parts. -Mesh below the grill. X6 are round bottom corner, x6m are rectangular -modified a bit on plastic cover under the bumper, i just cut it to fit x6m bumper. -covers for the 2 holes for car towing hook The x6m side skirt also fit x6 rear bumper. sorry for bad grammar, lol. i just want to share for those want to convert. Next item i want to get is carbon fiber hood, ecu tuning and exhaust Last edited by ggleet; 07-20-2011 at 05:12 AM.. |

more trouble than it's worth?

Hi, Sorry to hear you had an accident - I wish your car a speedy recovery! Let me start by saying I'M NOT SURE, but here are my thoughts. If you change the bumpers you may run into problems with all the electronic functions and error codes with the fog/turning lights (not in the bumper on the x6m), exhaust routing, parking sensors or side cameras, etc... It sounds like a big job that would require a lot of secondary modifications (new headlights, completely new exhaust including custom fabricated parts as the I6 is different shaped than the V8, etc...) to accommodate the change. Whether that's worth it, well, for me it would depend on the cost. I must admit, I like the aggressive look of the x6m. If it was an option, I would have liked an M appearance package when I ordered my car. I don't care for the factory performance body kit available for the non-M cars. |

Thanks
First of all i want to thank you alpineweiss300 and somonster for the feedbacks.
:somonster I thought the headlights for x6m and x6 are the same? i think i wont need to get new set of headlights. For the fog lamp, i'll still install it and hide behind bumper, and wont switch it on. THanks again |

I am probably mistaken...
In another thread, someone mentioned that the X6M had fog/turning lights integrated into the headlight assembly? possibly between the inner and outer rings?
I have no idea myself (I've never even SEEN an x6m in person), but just something I read on this forum. Too bad about the back bumper, though. I like that piece. Post some pics if you decide to do the swap! |

I assume the UK BMW X6 30d should fit the Malaysia diesel because BMW Malaysia is selling BMW X5 30d in Malaysia currently and both these models got the same engine therefore they should be alright, am i right?? Do you know any BMW expert working in BMW Malaysia? I wish to bring an UK BMW X6 30d back to Malaysia but i am afraid with diesel issue in Malaysia. Thank you bro!!!
