2011 Transfer case RUSH question
2011, X5, 120000KM
was diagnosed by BMW with a failed transfer case. So I purchased a new one but decided to have the local Transmission shop install it instead of BMW($300 instead of $700) The installation looks pretty straight forward except for the programming of the new module. Apparently because the factory new case is not programmed to the truck, it will need to go back to the dealer to have it programmed. My actual question: Will the truck start and run like a rear wheel drive like it currently does? or will the new module keep the truck from starting? What to do? Thanks in advance. |
