High battery drain
First, hello everyone! I'm a new owner of a 2010 X5 30i. I noticed when thew car sit overnight, I get the High battery drain warning. Noticed the other day that when in the house, car in the driveway all locked, I made a phone call with my cell and I had no audio. Look like the phone was still connected to the car bluetooth Not sure why with the car off and locked that system was still alive. Found that fuses 110 and 136 are related to phone. pulled both fuses yesterday and this morning no high battery drain warning. I'm getting a SOS system malfunction, which I'm sure is normal since the fuses are removed. Anyone has a wiring diagram so I can follow what those fuse control and see who can be the culprit. If any has any input, feel free to share. Thanks in advance.

I have the same issue with my 2007 335i, I park my car in the garage and when I am in the house my phone will reconnect to my car causing it to not go to sleep. I did the same troubleshooting with the fuses and never figured anything out. I solved it by turning off the radio before I turn off the car, that seems to turn off the Bluetooth in my car so it doesn't try to reconnect. I know it's not an ideal solution, but it works.
I don't have any issues with my 2012 x5's Bluetooth, but it is a newer Idrive system so that must help. |
