Suspension requires programming?

About to buy some springs for my x5m but I was told by a buddy the shocks have a sensor/control valve which will require programming.

Can someone who has springs/suspension confirm this? After finding out I needed to program for injectors im a bit gullible.

ftw H&R Springs still unsure of which shock.

Garage List
Installed H&R springs on my wife's 2010 x5m and I didn't have to reprogram anything.

Hoping he doesn't know the aftermarket world well and the links used to drop the rear is the cure for that. At least this is what turnermotorsport told me. Appreciate the response Da808dad
