Wind noise & rattle noise

I have quite a kind of loud wind noise coming as it appears from the front windshield or from doors... Specially from the passenger side...

Anyone?

Do you have wind noise from 40 and up? Also a rattle noise from me rear passenger door...

Not on my X6 but my 330 had to have the weather stripping around both doors replaced. BMW did it under warranty.

Is it the original windshield? Check that it has the BMW logo on it.

While driving over 40 mph, have your passenger press the top/side of the windshield where the sound is emanating from and see if it stops.

Either way, could be a bad seal. To verify, you can bluetape the joints and see if the sound stops.

I had a bad rattle from my right side passenger rear door. BMW took the door pannel down and found a cable (inside the door) that had come off it's retaining clip. It was slapping against the inside of the door. After they secured the cable the rattle went away.

Prior to that, I could duplicate the rattle by banging on the lower outter edge of the door panel.

My X6 has been pretty quiet with respect to windnoise. The M5 I had before this was really loud if I didn't have the sunroof shade panel closed (with sunroof also closed). Made it difficult durning phone cons for others to hear me while using bluetooth through the installed microphone.

I have had a seal on the top of the windscreen come loose (not a BMW). At speed the wind would suck it out and it would rattle against the roof. I used masking tape to hold it down until the dealer fixed it. You could tape over the seal until you isolate the problem area if it is not easy to find. Someone may have dragged a seal out when closing a door etc.
