19" or 20" Wheels in Winter???
I just purchased an 05 X5 and I would like to replace the stock 17" wheels. Has anyone experienced 19" or 20" wheels in winter conditions on the X5? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated - Thanks

I have the 20" for the summer 315/40/20 back and 285 front and for winter 19" from Bmw don't remember the size ill post it later.
20" on winter is just nonsence the car acclerarates almost the same but then there's big problem with braking |

The problem with wide tires in snow is flotation. They ride on top of the snow, like hydroplaning on water. Keep the stock 17" wheels for your snows, and the 20's for summer. You'll also appreciate the 17's when you hit your first pothole in spring!
