What tire sizes can I run with stock 19" wheels?

What would be the best tire sizes to run on the stock 19” wheels? To my understanding the wheels are 19x8.0 front and 19x8.5 in the rear. My car is a 2018 xdrive 440i GC. Looking to improve performance and reduce some understeer. Will I be able to put 245s up front and keep 255s in the rear? Thanks

You need to be more careful due to the xDrive system

IMO sticking with the OM spec sizes is best really...

Okay, thank you for your input. So just stay with the 225 front and 255 rear for now with the stock rims?

For 8" wheels, the ideal tire size is 225 or 235 mm, and for 8.5" it is 235 or 245 mm. The choice is yours.
