Amazing used X5M for sale

I spotted this at a local luxury used car lot and have been highly considering buying it just because of the spec and the condition but probably won't. So anyone in the market, here is what looks to be a fantastic used X5M in Monte Carlo blue over beige full leather. Just thought I'd share for the enthusiasts. I am in no way associated with this car lot or any car sales.

No price mentioned. Claiming sale pending is a click bait.

Mine, a 2012 X5M with 39,000 miles with pretty much every option including a full Merino leather but without the rear entertainment was $33900 as well and was sold within a week.

Good vehicles do command a premium and there are buyers out there willing to pay for them too.

I really need an AWD vehicle with capability for hitch bike rack so have been toying with adding a car to the M3 vs selling M3 in fall and getting X3M. After crunching numbers, adding a $30k used vehicle is probably worse financially than just replacing M3 with a new X3M. Adding a $20k or less vehicle makes sense but not many $20k cars out there that I want to drive 30% or more of the time.

So anyway probably gonna sell M3 for X3M but damn I love the S65. Hoping that the S58 will be rewarding too, in a different way.

X3M - $80k minus at least $40k depreciation over 5 years = net of $40k loss.

Used X5M - $30K minus $15K depreciation over 5 years plus $10k maintenance = net $25k loss.

Plus depreciation and maintenance of M3 and insurance of two vehicles not to mention risk of these expensive diva engines. I would sell M3 if I go X3M. So it all kind of falls into a wash and wife doesn't want a third car which would sit on the street. X5M alone is just too big for me. I have no use for a solo vehicle of that size.

Exact reason why I didn't buy a newer X5M and bought a low mileage 2012. Just bought n extended Toyota warranty ($$$$) but would have a piece of mind for the next 5 years.

Too slow if you are coming from 3600lb car with 420hp at the crank. You will be disappointed

Bingo. I could get used X3s and X5s all day long but I'm spoiled and don't want to downgrade even if it is in a secondary car.

Where I live and commute, using even 200hp will get you a speeding ticket

Yeah, PA likes to balance the budget on the backs of motorists. The legal limit in many states gets you reckless driving in PA. I can drive legally at 80 or 85 in Texas and 80 gets your "wrekless" driving in PA.

I guess any speed faster than 45 is killing the children.

Thats really low for maintenance and repairs for an X5M over 5 years. I'm already at 16K on mine in 2 years for repairs......

Buying an SUV is never the finically frugal choice. People buy cars based on what they want hence the F150 being the number #1 selling vehicle.

That's not normal, must have been overlooked and neglected maintenance/repairs. Care to share miles and where all that money spent?

I bought my 2012 X5M black on black with ~130,000km on it in March 2018 for less than CAD$34,000, taxes and fees included! So I must've gotten a good deal!

I believe this. The X5M I just bought had at least $20K in aftermarket warranty repairs in the year and a half the previous owner had it (49K-66K mileage).

1. Replaced transmission and crankcase breather hoses 49K
2. Replace heater hoses 51K
3. Replaced right rear control arm, trailing arm, wire harness for brake pad sensor 58K
4. Replaced Crossover lines 59K
5. Replaced turbo coolant lines 62K
6. Replaced Front thrust bushings 63K
7. Replaced Turbochargers and crankcase breather hoses 66K
