ARE YOU SERIOUS? Check your prices with the dealership. I bought brand new 21" dunlops RFLT's for roughly 250 a piece brand new. Tirerack is a retail online store.

You are out of your mind....I dont even understand why you are posting on my thread..... Dunlops are THE most exp OEM tires ....and they cost a lot more if you buy from the BMW dealer + they will charge sales tax ...tirerack is pretty much the cheapest place to buy these tires or any tires.....people know that and that is why their prices are used as benchmarks....anywhere retail is at least 30-40 bucks more than tireracks price...u dont know that, obviously.... |

Dunlop sport Maxx RFTs in 20 and 21" are the most expensive tires for the X5 and X6 right now and tirerack.com has the most cheapest.
Buying these tires from a BMW dealer will cost a whole lot more that what tirerack.com. At least $50-70 more per tire at the dealer + tax. I had a set of used tires same size that I sold for about $1,000 so this is a good asking price if the tires are as described. |

This thread is really getting out of hand. Here is a quote I got from my local dealer for my 2009 X5 in Dec 2009. As you can see the tires are priced by BMW part number. I did get quotes from 3 or 4 local shops as well, firestone, town Fair Tire , Mavis discount tire stores etc and the prices were not significantly different. Sizes are 275/40 and the 315/35 respectively. The price is a lot higher ($200) than tirerack.com that too before sales tax.

It must be the water on the EAST coast for giving you guys a reason to allow yourself to get RIPPED off. I just got done calling two more dealers at random. One in Palm Springs, California and one in Rockville, MD and their price is just a little bit more then the other places I called($283.80). Their price is $303.00 a piece for Dunlop Sportmaxx RFLTS 285/35/21 and 325/30/21. Still a great deal!
Posting receipts does not validate anything except that you are willing to allow yourself to get ripped off!. Call those dealers and come back here and APOLOGIZE! ##shole! People like you is one reason our country is so f#cked up. Want everyone to do the work for you. I told you to call around and prove me wrong and you keep coming back here bashing me for trying to inform and educate you! Here I'll even provide the phone number for you. Palm Springs BMW 1-760-324-7071 and Rockville, MD 1-301-984-8989. Call them, prove me wrong and get back to ALL of us! If you don't repost, we'll already have your answer. Hopefully you'll be man enough to own up! POWNED! Last edited by REInvestor; 07-22-2010 at 05:15 PM.. |

Palm Springs BMW 1-760-324-7071 just told me they DONT have the 21" in stock. They have the 20" and the total with tax for all 4 tires is 1,889 with tax and if I am on the east coast I would have to pay $150 in shipping fees...lol!
I am sure if you call again they will tell you the same thing. Thanks for cursing on a public forum, really shows your class.... |
