I have. You can read my thoughts here -> http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...1134650&page=4

Not cheap. But for performance, comfort and infinite adjustability its a winner.

I adjusted the rear linkages so it doesn't bounce. Just a small rake. Id prefer a little raked look anyways. (rear slightly higher than front).

Its the sudden jarring of cracks and bumps is whats bruising my kidneys. My buddy thinks its hitting the bump stops.

I've lowered numerous cars in the past and anything more than 1.5" drop we would cut down the bump stops because of the very reason mentioned above.

Here's my wife's old x5m with the H&R 2" drop.

As for ride quality, it's like everyone else said, don't put the endlinks all the way down. It is bumpier than stock but I think it's worth it for the look.

If you're interested, I have my 2" drop that I'll sell you cheap since I no longer have the x5m.

Stateneye can you tell me how long you set your rear links to to "rake' the ride on your 2" drop kit

Just curious how high I should raise the rear

My truck will have these 1.2" H&R Springs installed tomorrow and as suggested above I will tell the installer to adjust the rear links to 67 mm. Question: Is there a possibility for the rear link's bolts to get loose while driving and cause problem? Should I request the installer to blue Loctite them or weld the bolts? Thanks!

If not installed correctly i guess its possible but these are just replacing the stock links so i think you should be fine with the lock washer. Post pics. I chickened out on the 2" drop. Ill be going with 21"s and a 1.2" drop vs 20"s with a 2" drop. My new wheels should arrive next Friday so hopefully ill have the springs installed by then.

PS be sure to ask the shop to do post install height measurements. Measure from the wheel well to the floor and ensure you have rake.

I dropped off the truck this morning and will not be able to pick it up until Thursday because aside from the springs they will also disassemble the calipers and send to the auto paint shop for painting
