I believe any of the OEM Sport Activity (flat black) or M Sport packages (painted) come with the fender flares. You should be able have a dealer order the the parts and have them installed by any dealer or local custom car shop. But that is just for the "proper" look. They aren't required.

I would pick a BMW factory 20 inch style rim. At least 3 or 4 are made for the X5. They are all the extra wide width (10 inches wide front 11 rear). Some after market rims may work too. The //M model wheels don't fit directly on the standard X5 because of a different hub size. I'll try to find and add a link to the OEM rim pics.

Once you picked the wheels, then you have to pick the tires in the size listed above. Tirerack.com is a good way to see the choices. Just pick The X5 of your ear with Sport Activity and 20's and you should get the proper tire sizes as shown above (275/40x20 front and 315/35x20 rear).

The bad news, expect to pay anywhere from $4000 - $6000 for the complete setup.

Only if you're buying OEM wheels directly from the dealership.

My set up is Beyern Mesh wheels with Conti DWS....I just pulled my invoice and I spent less than $2900 wheels and tires installed....and we typically get boned on pricing and exchange up here.

Now THAT is a reply! Thanks so much for all the info. I think I'm just going to invest that money in my next X5 which will be brand spanking new and my dream car. 2015 or 2016... gonna be hard to wait.

Again, appreciate it!

Only the X5 with 20" coming from the factory will have the extension wheel arch. You can get the wheel arch extension retrofit kit from tischer, it also comes with the rivets for the installation. IMO it gives the X5 a sportier look, especially viewing from behind. BTW I have a set of extension wheel arch for sale from my previous X5, shoot me a PM if you are interest.

You cannot compare Beyern makes pretty cheap and good looking wheels.

Oh, I like the aggressive look of the wider tires. I'm new and I can't tell what I have... I bought mine used. Here is a photo of the rear.

Hi Nolemon,
No, I do not think you do because you have standard 19's. If you purchased the sport PKG or Mpkg w/ 20's you would.

This is the look she is talking about. If you have it, you know it.

She won't make the mistake on the next one she buys !
