I have a P-Tronic box here in the US. Well worth the money. 432 Euros. The price is discounted from what they show on the web site since they don't have to charge the EU tax.

Looks impressive. Do you mind giving us any more information as far as the performance gain, feel, install, etc.?

Thanks in advance.

Could you also please clarify what vehicle you're running what on? Thanks.

According to the website there isn't anything for the 35d we get here, only the 30d that they have in Europe.

could anyone elaborate on how these boxes (in general) work. how they differ from actual ecu tunes?

aside from the 'box manufacturers claims, are there any substantiated back-up to the claims? ie dynos/professional?

do not mean to come off as cynical, but i don't believe there is gain without at least some pain. the "pain" as it were doesn't need to break the deal, but i have a hard time believing a 286 to 368 hp gain for $500 with absolutely no downside! am i being goofy?

Well coming from a 335i 3.0 tt I went you can go from 275whp to about 350whp for 400.00 with a JB3. So if they gain around 60whp... that's believeable. Boost was raised from 9lbs to 14lbs on my 335i.

that is a very nice gain, btw, is that crank hp or whp? and i am not questioning whether or not the boxes can make the power, but how they make the power, and are there any short and/or long term detrimental effects on my vehicle.

if the technology behind these boxes are solid, then that's great. who wouldn't rather spend 400 for 60-75 hp increase as opposed to spending 1300 for the same with an ECU tune? but for me these boxes have not quite passed the sniff test, but i am attempting to learn more so i can make an informed decision.

btw, what is a JB3?

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Curious what you're using/doing? The JBD is already in beta testing and showing some good results as well. Please post more details or pm me. Thanks.
