X5m kneepads retrofit into non M

Can you remove kneepads from car that are located near the gear shifter and put into non M?
Really like the upscale look but not sore if that's how it works

Yes, but you'll likely need the trim to match as it goes around. The pads are not trivial to remove as you have to remove most of the console to get them off. Here's a link to a video I followed to remove my console for the cup holder repair. Not in English, but very comprehensive on the disassembly.

Did you just took it out of M and swapped it in? What about trim piece around it, does it have to be from m?
