He was just messing around as you could tell in the video. Its the furthest from a straight line car out of every Mustang made. This car is a track car at heart. Read some more about it.

Yes but you can't pick the highest mark up and say every GT350R will be 140k. Thats dumb. Many have gotten the regular GT350 at MSRP and a typical mark up on the R is around 20k. Still ridiculous but it will come down after its released.

It lapped the Nurburgring in 7:32.19. That puts it on par, and actually slightly faster than a Ferrari 458 Italia, the Italian muscle car....

LOL, this is not a "straight line" muscle car.

That thing is freakin amazing! Sounds great, if the Ring times are true, it's got super car numbers on the track to back it up. Ford or not, it's a quality piece of engineering, starting at 47k after first model year ( F dealer ADM....only idiots pay that shit)

GT350R-C debuts this weekend in Continental Tire 150 at Watkins Glen.

They captured pole today. Not bad for first race weekend.

I agree. It will outperform the M4, amongst most everything else but, paying 6 figures on a Ford that isn't a GT is ludicrous.

Yes, you read that correctly....70k ADM on top of $70k MSRP equals.....
Go google the ADM that BMW dealers we putting on the Z8 when it came out. And that's before the front shock mounts started to crack...

No one in their right mind will pay 140k. This thing will be slightly under MSRP in a year or two. And it's a smoking deal for all the performance you get.

Unfortunately I'm just not much of a big car guy. Although very very excited for focus rs.

That still doesn't make sense to me. If a car is amazing to drive, it is amazing to drive. Who cares what is on the road or how many or what people think. It really is irrelevant. That same argument is used against the M3. There tons of regular 3-series on the road, you can go buy $30k 320i. That doesn't change the fact the M3 is fantastic car. You will be missing out on a lot of great cars, using criteria like that to eliminate them.

If you can't tell the difference, both visually and audibly, between a GT350 and a Hertz 6 banger, we feel very sorry for you.

Only idiots would be paying a 70k markup. Didn't take me long to find dealers selling with only a 10k markup.

The $70k mark up in on the first year, which is 2015. Ford is making a limited production run. Most of the time these car collector cars. In addition, you know they will offer one up for to Barrett Jackson and give the proceeds to charity, which is a good thing.

In addition, do you really think anyone is going to pay $70k mark up??? You guys crack me up with all the bashing. Chill out and enjoy it for what it is.

Ford or not, you would be stupid to pick an M4 over this for the simple reason that it's a BMW.

So do you merely pity Ford owners or find them despicable?

I didn't say anything about the owners. There's a reason why Detroit is a ghost town.

I don't own a Ford, but if I was going to buy an American brand, that would probably be the one. From a financial stand point, I think that they weathered the economic downturn rather well. A quick Google search shows that in 2014 Ford sold about 2300 F series trucks per day. Not too shabby.

To discount a brand in its entirety is a rather narrow view. Something akin to saying that all BMW drivers have no friends.

It never did. That was a rumor started by Horsepower Kings...that website is a bunch of BS. Ford has not published Ring times for it. And they may never do it the way it looks now.

If you had $144,000 in your budget for a car... I assume a Ford wouldn't even cross your mind.
