Burnout with x5m?
Can a burnout or drift be done?
I'm well aware of the dsc and all wheel drive... what if i was on a wet/ rainy parking lot -- turn the wheel all the way in 1 direction and let loose!!?? I was surprised the car did a little drift one day a month or so ago.. but unintentional Only thing I miss about not having my m5 -- is the occasional Burnout!!

You're not going to do a dry burnout with AWD, the weight of this car, the electronic nannies in place, and the size of the tires. You should easily be able to get the tires loose in rain or snow - if only for a moment before stability control kicks in.
For real burnouts, I highly suggest a CTS-V... (2014 Virginia City Hill Climb, video taken from an M3...) |

I think the owner of the 650 gran coupe I blew the doors off of this morning might consider that a good thing?
I'm guessing Uncle Sal and Grandma Salina don't have dyno sheets that look like this, though: Last edited by Tremek; 05-13-2015 at 11:07 AM.. |

X5m isn't going to light the tire up in most situations.
For the ultimate burnouts I highly recommend AMG cars. The C63 had something like 500hp, 255 rear tires, and an open diff. |

Hahaha love it. If that's your kid recording, he sounds as amused as you are.
I see your borrowed Ferrari and raise you my hoon of a 3 year old: |

... yes it would in fact.
Best time I have run in this car (on street tires no less - drag radials get here today!) is half a second and 4 mph faster than the fastest F10 M5 we have seen at the local strip. I'm also still on a 91 tune, there's another 60hp on the table with E85, and I haven't even touched heads/cam/upper pulley/etc. -Vs are cheap and easy to make silly power on. |
