2007 tire size confusion

I bought a used e70 with sport package and all for tires are currently Bridgestone Duelers in size 255/50/19. I thought these were the same as OEM. Tire rack says they should be 275/40/20 in the front and 315/35/20 in the rear. A VIN check says I have y-211 rims which are 19". So did BMW make some x5's with sport package with 19" rims? Next question is do I put 255/50/19 on all corners or some sort of stagger? Thanks in advance for your help.

Oh. Which run flats should I put on. Hopefully be decent in snow.

If a VIN check shows that the style 211s came stock then I guess BMW did offer the sport package with 19x9 style 211 wheels instead of the standard 20x10/20x11 style 214 wheels. Does your X5 have the rear fender flares? Are you certain it's a sport package model?

Type in your VIN serial here: https://www.bmwdecoder.com/. Do the wheels in the picture match your X5?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the VIN finder shows that my vehicle has the sports package and the pictures look like my car. See the attached pictures which shows the sports package line item half way down the list.

What are the best run flat tires these days? I'm not a fan of the Bridgestone Dueler A/P tires that are on their now. Not good in the snow.

The Sport Package included 19's standard. The 20's were optional ($950 I believe?). Tire Rack should offer all options for your model year X5...Discount Tire's website does.

Continental seems to be a forum favorite.
